Marcus has spent his life in one guise or another in the building industry, from his early years with Bellerbys of York where he became a Director to working as the Senior Maintenance Surveyor for City of York Council. He worked closely with David at Inclusion Housing in the very early years helping set up and running the development and FM contract side and left in 2016. He moved in to consultancy over the last year working with different funders and developers within the care and education sectors and teamed back up with David at the beginning of 2017
Marcus has not only the practical experience within the industry but also a raft of construction related qualifications to support it.
Marcus' speciality is his ability to review a building and its plans and envisage a practical and sensible use for the proposed tenants. He has worked closely with people with a range of disabilities from those with minimal learning difficulties to those with more complex physical disabilities, and is able to make sensible assumptions with regards to their specific needs when making adjustments to their prospective new home.
On a personal level Marcus is a past cricketer, hockey player and keen golfer, he is still heavily involved in York Sports Club and it’s management and has a very approachable personality which make him popular with tenants, funders, project staff and contractors alike.
